APWA’s Young Professionals Committee is inviting you to participate in this panel discussion about the mixing of generations in the workplace, creating effective teams, and working with young professionals. There will be both set questions and the audience will be able to ask questions of the panel on a variety of topics including:

• The power of starting a young professionals’ network and how management can help.

• Overcoming the challenges of different communication styles on a team.

• Exploring individual goals to create overall team goals.

• Discovering your team’s personalities and how they can improve team communication.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, you will be better able to:

  • Create a more dynamic and sustainable workplace.
  • Recognize the strengths of the young professionals on your work teams.
  • Discover tools that you can use to create more effective communication.
