This interactive session will allow attendees to learn about topics ranging from Recycling and Composting to P3’s (Public Private Partnerships). Round table discussions will focus on waste diversion strategies, technology used in the field, workplace safety, and curb-side collection methodologies. Session will allow for ample time for questions and group discussion for novice to advanced managers.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, you will be better able to: 

  • Explain and recognize the diverse components of operations that make up the solid waste management field.
  • Assess current agency/department operational levels and areas for improvement.   
  • Use discussed best management practices within your own agency or department.
