Ms. Elia Twigg PE

Elia Twigg is owner and Principal Engineer for Lantic Solutions - a design and consulting firm in Florida specializing in septic engineering, small site plans and leadership and management development. Previously, she worked over 6 years for CONSOR Engineers, a full-service transportation design and construction services firm, and 10 years for the City of Palm Bay Public Works Department, with her last 3-1/2 years as the Public Works Director. She is a licensed engineer, and has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Florida. She has served in various leadership roles in organizations such as American Public Works Association (APWA) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Currently, she is the Chair for the Leadership and Management national committee for APWA. As part of the committee, she creates leadership and management content for the organization and has published several articles in the APWA Reporter Magazine as well as co-authored the Executive Soft Skills Pocket Guide sold in the APWA bookstore. She is married, has two children (ages 13 and 15) and enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, biking, and working out.

When she was the Public Works Director, she helped change the culture to a more performance driven, highly productive team simply by improving communication with the entire Public Works Department. She is passionate about helping others and hopes that sharing her message will help leaders and managers improve productivity and performance with their teams.
