Description:

Emergency and disasters occur at any moment. Public Works departments are critical members of the emergency response team. As a public works leader you will be asked (or required) to step in and provide leadership dealing an unplanned/emergency event. This program will provide you with the background on public works as a first responder, how having a mutual aid structure will provide you with support during an emergency, and what to expect in your role as a public works leader. This program has been approved for .2 CEUs or 2 PDHs. Please note there is a $7 fee per non-member individual requesting CEUs (there is no fee for members).

After viewing this program, participants will be better able to:

Provide leadership while dealing an unplanned and/or emergency event.

Develop and implement a mutual aid structure to provide support during an emergency.

Prepare for a role as an effective public works leader.
