The Emergency Services Coalition for Medical Preparedness was formed to lead the development of a national strategy to protect providers in the event of a large-scale biological event. The Coalition addresses the medical preparedness of emergency services personnel and operations. Examine information on the Coalition’s three areas of focus for 2012: developing a medical kit for providers and their households; a voluntary anthrax immunization program; increasing immunization levels throughout emergency services.

By attending this session, participants will be better able to:

  2. Identify the current threats to the public works operations in medical emergencies.
  3. Provide feedback on plans to integrate public works with other emergency services protections.
