Bryan Pickworth, City of Farmington Hills – MI-DPW Bryan has spent over 33 years as an employee for the City of Farmington Hills. 32 yrs, from a front liner to a road supervisor. Bryan currently is the part-time Safety & Projects coordinator. Bryan is a graduate of Michigan Public Service Institute. In 2011, the City of Farmington Hills, MI received the APWA’s National Snow and Ice Control Award. Since then, Bryan has served on the APWA’s National Snow and Ice subcommittee. Bryan has served on various APWA review committees. As Road Maintenance Supervisor, Bryan was responsible for overseeing various road maintenance activities including snow & ice control, storm drainage maintenance, forestry operations, right-of-way maintenance, snow and ice control, sign shop, and street sweeping to name a few. Bryan was responsible for overseeing and training in the right-of-way maintenance segment. Bryan has helped train numerous agencies as well has presented @ the APWA North American Snow Conference, APWA Road Scholar program, APWA Supervisor & Operator certificate course as well as other local APWA and commercial trainings across the country. The topics focused on include safety, operations, calibration, use of liquids and supervision to name a few. Bryan also is a member of DW Clonch LLC's team of road maintenance consultants , training etc. Bryan has contributed to various TRB, Clear Road, and other pilot programs in the winter maintenance segment. With teaming up with Bloomfield Twp. MI, Bryan help develop the Southeast Michigan Metro Region training program called Snow Plow Operators Training program and help develop and train @ the state Michigan Winter Operations Conference in collaboration with Michigan CTT / LTAP.
